Barangay & SK terms: Republic Act No. 12326
The Act approved on September 24, 2026 amends RA 12232. Its text sets five-year terms, limits barangay officials to two consecutive terms in the same position, and retains the one-term limit for SK officials in the same position.
It sets the next regular barangay and SK elections for the second Monday of November 2028. Its transition provisions address incumbent officials and term limits.
